Registration procedure
Before you begin filling out the application, you first need to create a personal account on the Consulate website. To do this, click on the Register an Account option, and then enter your personal information:
- first and last name;
- time of birth (by selection from the electronic calendar);
- gender (by choosing from the ones offered);
- your country of citizenship;
- a second, additional language (in your situation it is Russian);
- E-mail address;
- telephone;
- place of residence, etc.
To avoid any inaccuracies, the email address is listed twice.
Decide on a UK visa
Obtaining permission begins with organizational arrangements and determining the purpose of the trip. Taking this into account, a decision is made on the type of visa. In total, there are more than 20 types of permits, which belong to the same group, but have different periods of stay in the country.
Let's highlight the main types of UK visas for Russians:
- Transit . If the traveler does not plan to leave the airport, there is no need to obtain such permission. In this case, the departure to the next destination must be carried out before midnight on the day of arrival. The transit permits under consideration are conventionally divided into two types - VITV and DATV. The first is valid for 48, and the second for up to 24 hours. In the case of DATV, you can go from the airport into the city to while away the time before departure or to see local attractions.
- Standard. We are talking about a classic UK visa for Russians, which is issued for the purposes of a private visit, tourism, work trip, study, treatment, etc. We are talking about short-term trips.
There are also permits that are issued for a longer period. They are issued separately and are intended for employment, study, marriage, business trips for a long period, etc. In this case, an additional package of papers is required, and the decision is made individually. The best chances are for travelers who have previously applied for a visa to England and have not violated the requirements for length of stay.
How to enter personal and contact information in the form
If we are talking about a phone number, then for users of the Russian network it begins with the number “7”, for those registered in Ukraine - with “38”, without entering the initial plus.
The address must be entered according to the European template: first comes the street and building number. You can enter an index, or you can do without it. Data is entered into those lines that exist, as much as will fit. If there are empty ones, it’s okay, this is completely acceptable.
- After completing the work, you must enter a login or password, which will be assigned to you for logging into the system when you decide to start filling out again. Having completed the entire form, you need to very carefully check all the data several times.
- If you are sure that everything is correct and want to print the form, click the Register option.
Registration and filling are considered successful only if a message is sent to your email address containing a link that you need to follow. If you do not activate the link, then registration will not occur.
Once registered, you can begin filling out your visa application.
