This is an original number combination consisting of 10 digits. Without looking closely, you can notice that between the first four digits and the next six there is a small space, which distinguishes the series from the number. The first four numeric values are the document series, and the remaining six are its number.

The first paired number allows you to find out in which region the citizen received his document. For example, if the number 52 is at the beginning of the ten-digit code, this means that the document was received in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The remaining 6 digits are the passport number. It does not have any transcripts and depends on the serial number in the state database.

Individual identification number (IIN) Printable version

Individual identification number (IIN) – is a unique combination of 12 digits, generated for an individual during initial registration in the information and production system for document production.

The IIN is formed automatically, taking into account the principles of uniqueness and immutability. In order to maintain the integrity of data from information banks of various levels that use IIN in the data structure, it is not subject to any modification or regeneration from the moment of its initial formation.

The IIN is located on the front side of the identity card of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, below the date of birth in the form of a combination of 12 digits; in the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the IIN is indicated on page 2.

In accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 12, 2007 No. 223 “On national registers of identification numbers”, from January 1, 2013, identity documents, with the exception of birth certificates, are invalid if they do not contain a generated identification numbers.

To re-register for a passport and identity card without an IIN, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan must provide to the NJSC “State Corporation “Government for Citizens” (PSC) at the place of permanent registration or actual stay:

Do the series and numbers of passports change when they are replaced?

According to the law of the Russian Federation, every citizen must change his identity document several times throughout his life. Assigning an IIN to a child

Children born between 1996 and August 2007 (from 5 to 13 years old) must submit separate documents to be assigned an IIN. Without an individual identification number, since the second half of 2012 it has been impossible to issue any payments for a child.

When applying for an individual identification number, the child will not need to replace the birth certificate; parents will receive an additional document (“barcode”), which will be an insert in the birth certificate.

What is the series and number of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation
