Knowledge Base | 19,335 | 08/29/2016 Are you satisfied with the city in which you live? Have you ever thought about moving to another place? If you have thought about it, why? What do you not like: the climate, the environmental situation, or maybe the economic situation? Where is the best place to live in Russia? Let's figure it out.

The most favorable climate in Russia for living

Human health and general well-being largely depend on climatic conditions. However, it is not only air temperature that has an effect. This also includes the following climatic factors:

  • number of windy days and wind speed;
  • air humidity;
  • solar radiation;
  • Atmosphere pressure.

Based on the above criteria, scientists have established the most favorable, one might say the best, place in Russia for human life. Having stable weather conditions, low day-to-day variability or, in other words, a sharp jump in temperature and atmospheric pressure.

This place is the foothills of the North Caucasus.

The Black Sea coast has the highest average annual temperature of plus 14 degrees Celsius, and the warmest winter season with temperature parameters in January of plus 4.7 degrees Celsius. The Caucasus Mountains and sea breeze also provide the most comfortable summer.

Sochi

Based on this, it should be concluded that, according to climatic conditions, the most prosperous cities for living in Russia are: Gelendzhik, Sochi, Anapa.

Kaliningrad

After them on the list comes the Kaliningrad region, characterized by mild European climatic conditions.

Astrakhan

The following countries have comfortable weather conditions: Astrakhan, Krasnodar, Sevastopol and Novorossiysk.

The most prosperous cities in Russia

The most prosperous places in Russia for people are:

  • Kazan;
  • Moscow;
  • Krasnodar;
  • Tyumen;
  • Saint Petersburg.

Kazan

This city ranking is compiled according to many factors, which include:

  • average salary;
  • environmental situation;
  • medical service;
  • the level of education;
  • infrastructure and much more.

Tyumen

The described moments are in most cases concentrated in cities with a population of over a million, since material support in them is much higher than in other regions of the country.

Saint Petersburg

In order to better study the benefits of prosperous places for a person to live, you should study each of them in more detail:

  • The capital of Tatarstan has become a home for more than one million three hundred people. Kazan is gaining momentum year after year in infrastructure and private entrepreneurship. The city is famous for its good roads, beautiful architectural projects, and a large number of educational institutions. The city is also very well maintained, there are picturesque parks and squares;
  • Moscow is the largest and most populous city in the Russian Federation. The total population exceeded twelve million people. The center is famous for its high salaries, good roads, well-established housing and communal services, higher educational institutions, research centers, cultural and entertainment places;
  • Krasnodar attracts with its warm climate, high-quality medical services, and new housing buildings. The population today is more than 850 thousand people;
  • Tyumen is also recognized as one of the safest places in Russia. The number of residents is more than 700 thousand people. The rapid pace of development is due to the oil and gas industry involved;
  • The second capital of the Russian Federation is the city of St. Petersburg with a population of over five million people. St. Petersburg can also be called the most beautiful place in Russia. Just look at its palaces, squares, canals, and parks. The city has a high level of healthcare, higher education, and an established housing and communal structure. Many students choose universities in the Northern capital for admission.

TOP - 5 Russian cities with the best standard of living

The standard of living is the most abstract category and, nevertheless, it includes specific parameters. These parameters are measured and calculated, after which we have the opportunity to obtain a rating of Russian cities without delving into the intricacies of calculations.

Parameters for which it is necessary to compile such city ratings:

  • life expectancy;
  • birth and death rates;
  • sanitary and hygienic conditions;
  • level of food supply;
  • condition and quantity of housing stock;
  • the quality of education;
  • presence and condition of cultural heritage;
  • employment opportunities and working conditions;
  • prices for various services and goods;
  • state of infrastructure;
  • social environment;
  • respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens.

In Russia, according to this indicator , Kazan is in first place, followed by Moscow, Krasnodar, Tyumen and St. Petersburg . These are the best cities in Russia. As you can see, the dependence on the location of the region is indirect. All of these cities are large and, in a unique way, “metropolitan”, but the standard of living is determined more by the competent distribution of efforts by the authorities than by the direct status of the city.

The worst cities in Russia to live in

The list of the most unfavorable cities for living in the Russian Federation is compiled taking into account the environmental situation, the quality of medicine, the pace of construction, the criminal situation and other factors.

Magnitogorsk

This rating includes the following particularly unfavorable cities:

  • First on the list is the industrial city of Magnitogorsk. It has a very poor environmental situation, poor quality education, uninteresting and dilapidated architecture. Industrial smoke released into the atmosphere every minute affects the health and overall life expectancy of local residents;
  • Second on the list is Artem. Devastation, crime, alcohol and drug addiction have eaten away the once prosperous city. The poor environmental situation and lack of jobs force city residents to move to other more prosperous cities. According to reviews from local residents who have decided to move, it is impossible to live and raise children in peace in such a city;
  • Yakutsk - although it is not considered a city with a bad environment and developed crime, it repels migrants due to its harsh climate, poor transport infrastructure, and lack of housing;
  • Nizhnekamsk is characterized by a poor environmental situation, lack of good medical care and education. All this forces young people to move to other places in search of good living conditions;
  • Arkhangelsk is also included in the rating of unfavorable places in Russia. Arkhangelsk has a very large number of visitors from Central Asian countries. This is due to the fact that local residents leave their jobs and move closer to the capital. Qualified personnel are forced to leave by poor environmental conditions, low wages, and lack of good infrastructure and career growth.

Favorable ecology

The photo shows the city of Sevastopol.

Obviously, the environment is better in cities with less road traffic and the number of polluting enterprises. But some cities are exceptions.

  • Sevastopol

Sevastopol, as a peninsula, is blown by winds from the sea, due to which “dirty” air does not linger in it. And there are no malicious enterprises, as such, here. Many people call it a city of pensioners and the unemployed.

  • Naberezhnye Chelny

In Naberezhnye Chelny, the city is naturally cleansed due to the circulation of winds. The rivers here are not polluted, unlike many other cities in the country.

  • Kazan

Kazan is the cleanest metropolis in the country. Despite the fact that about 1.5 thousand “harmful” enterprises operate on its territory, the city copes with maintaining cleanliness by introducing European standards for water disinfection and providing less harmful public transport.

  • Kostroma

This city can be called one of the cleanest areas of the country, but not thanks to the government, but rather to the low level of industrial development, which in some places has a Soviet look. Most of the factories are standing or leased.

Which city in Russia has the highest salaries?

Salary is an integral criterion when choosing a permanent place of residence.

The best places with high salaries include the following:

  • The first city on the list is the capital of Russia - Moscow. In the capital, there is a vacancy for any person, qualified or lacking experience and education. The average salary is almost twice the national average salary and is about 56,000 rubles. By the way, it is in the capital that you can find food at very low, cheap prices, even in St. Petersburg you cannot find this;
  • The average salary in Tyumen is about 45,000 rubles. As already mentioned, not only good salaries attract a flow of immigrants to this city, but also developed infrastructure and high-quality medicine;
  • The average salary in St. Petersburg is about 40,000 rubles. It is worth noting that there are as many vacancies there as in the capital;
  • The Kamchatka Territory is also on the list of places in Russia with the highest average salary, amounting to about 52,000 rubles;

Please take into account: the Kamchatka Territory is gaining momentum year by year - the infrastructure is improving, the level of education is growing and great contributions are being made to the development of medicine.

  • And last on the list is the Ural city of Yekaterinburg, whose average salary is about 30,000 rubles. A well-established industrial sector and an established services market have a positive effect on the employment of those coming to Yekaterinburg.

Did you know that: in a city with a population of one million, housing is relatively inexpensive. Therefore, it will not be difficult for a working family to acquire their own house or apartment.

Novokuznetsk

Founded: 1618. Population: 550,213 people.

Being the cultural and economic center of Siberia, Novokuznetsk was never able to become a city of dreams not only on the scale of Russia, but also within its own region.

It is difficult to combine the title of a powerful metallurgical and coal mining center of Russia and a paradise for environmentalists. Lawbreakers are not asleep either: 11,971 crimes were committed in the city over the last year (for comparison: in Grozny, which ranks 1st in life safety, there were only 1,117). Mostly petty robberies and thefts, but even for a small city the situation is the same.

Novokuznetsk cannot boast of natural population growth rates either: the number of people leaving Novokuznetsk is approximately equal to the number of people who come there and harbor hopes of building a happy future in this city.

Oddly enough, the townspeople themselves are very satisfied with the actions of the executive branch and consider them effective. Maybe Pushkin’s golden rule applies here too? The less residents we like, the more they like us. Or is it some kind of town of masochists.

Citizens' opinion

Anonymous:

“Those who think about their health are leaving, not those who are afraid of work. The ecology in Kuznya is full of seams. Children go to school already with scoliosis, because the air contains such a composition of chemical elements that washes calcium out of the body. It seems to me that the authorities should strictly control that wastewater treatment plants work as they should, and not as the administration of hazardous industries wants. We are in the top three dirtiest cities in the country. Disgrace!

Anna:

“Those who left did the right thing: I fully support them and I myself want to leave here in the near future. Novokuznetsk is dirty, unpromising, only focused on metallurgy and coal. High crime rate, higher education is deteriorating, bribery. Conclusion: there are still decades of problems to come.”

Where is it better to live in the south of Russia

The question of where it is better to live in the south of Russia was answered above - in the Krasnodar Territory. This choice is explained by moderate climatic conditions without sudden temperature changes. More than one million people live in the city of Krasnodar, but there is absolutely no fuss there; on the contrary, life is measured and leisurely.

The city also has a good environmental situation, there are absolutely no large industrial facilities, and there are no problems with jobs. Individual entrepreneurship is developing at a very good pace in Krasnodar. The average salary is about 35,000 rubles. This is a comfortable, promising city where many decide to go for permanent residence.

Medicine at the proper level

The photo shows the city of Kazan.

It is impossible to name one city in which all the great minds of medicine and the most advanced technologies are concentrated. But getting sick in these won’t be scary at all:

  • Nizhny Novgorod

Within the city there are 33 hospitals, 30 clinics, 11 dental centers and 9 emergency departments. The city also has its own plasma center, which can accept up to 200 donors per day and prepares up to 30 tons of plasma per year.

  • Kazan

There are 120 medical institutions in the city, employing more than 15 thousand specialists. There is also the region’s largest clinical diagnostic center for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

  • Tyumen

There are 155 private and 19 public medical institutions here. Local residents note the high level of patient care.

  • Saint Petersburg

The city has both good service and bad. Most of the institutions are part of the system of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In addition to them, there are private clinics.

  • Orenburg

There are many dental institutions here that provide services under the policy with a small surcharge. There are good private clinics.
