Work visa to Poland for Ukrainians in 2021

Rules for the stay of citizens of Ukraine in the Russian Federation from January 1, 2021 by the Main Directorate for Migration and Migration (FMS)

As for the education of Ukrainians in Russia in 2021, everything here follows a similar pattern. However, instead of an employment contract, you must present documents from the university confirming your enrollment.

Relations between Ukraine and Russia have deteriorated significantly recently. There are many reasons for this, but the main ones are the annexation of Crimea and military operations in eastern Ukraine. This inevitably affected the rules for crossing the border and staying on the territory of the Russian Federation. Moreover, government authorities are planning to introduce a visa regime, which will further complicate relations. What rules for the stay of Ukrainians in Russia from January 1, 2021 did the Main Directorate for Migration and Migration (FMS) put into effect?

Entry into Russia for Ukrainians: special regime

Since the beginning of hostilities in eastern Ukraine, about two million residents have fled the country. Most of them moved to the Russian Federation. Current changes Many residents of the Russian Federation and Ukraine are interested in whether the rules for entry into Russia will change and, if so, how.

Visa regime in Ukraine

As already mentioned, you will need to enter the country with a biometric foreign passport (they are already issued to Russians, but most of them still have ordinary foreign passports). Service centers will be opened at the border. From January 1, 2021, all border points of Ukraine must be provided with the necessary means for recording biometric data. Also, three months from the date of entry into force of the NSDC decision, administrative service centers should appear at the border.

True, the decision does not specify what they will do. Registration at the place of residence The decision of the National Security and Defense Council prescribes taking measures to improve the legislation on the procedure for registering the place of residence/stay on the territory of Ukraine of foreigners, including citizens of the Russian Federation, originating from states of migration risk or who entered Ukraine from the territory of such states.

A visitor visa is issued if the applicant was invited to the country by citizens of the Russian Federation who reside on the territory of the state. The visa is valid from one day to three months of stay and is issued only upon presentation of an invitation from a Russian citizen. It is possible to visit only the city indicated in the invitation.

The registration period ranges from 40 days to four months, and is issued for a longer period than a tourist one. How to submit an application A guest invitation is one of the most difficult and lengthy processes. In order for the applicant to be able to come to Russia on a guest invitation, he must wait at least 40 days. The advantage of such an invitation is its low cost - 800 rubles.

Presenting his proposals in July of this year, the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, specified that the entry of Russians into the country will be carried out “with mandatory fingerprinting.” According to him, even before the trip, Russian residents will need to inform the Ukrainian authorities of their intention.

In addition to the application, a foreign citizen must have an invitation, two standard passport size photographs, and a receipt for payment of the fee. The cost of prolonging a document, depending on the period, ranges from 300 to 400 rubles. The application is reviewed within 20 working days.

So, obtaining a guest entry document for a foreigner is a rather complicated procedure. It is much easier to apply for a business or tourist visa, the process will take less time and there will be a better chance of getting approval. However, if you need to get a guest visa, you should correctly and correctly issue an invitation.

A visa to Russia for Ukrainians in 2021 is not required. Thanks to their shared Soviet past, Russians and Ukrainians can visit each other using a regular internal passport. Although, according to the law, from the moment of arrival at the place of stay in the Russian Federation, a foreign citizen is required to register with the territorial body of the Federal Migration Service at the place of stay within seven working days.

To register, you will need a migration card, which you fill out at the border control between Ukraine and Russia; they give you half, and I take the other half for myself. This form must not be lost, as it will need to be returned upon returning home.

What destinations are available to Ukrainians with an internal passport?

Using a Ukrainian passport you can cross the borders of the following countries:

  • Russia (no more than three months). A foreign passport may be required;
  • Belarus. Allowable stay time is 3 months. You can enter Belarus using a foreign passport.

Currently, Ukrainians can enter Russia without a special visa. Statistics indicate a high probability of missing out - about 95%. However, it is not always possible to cross the border using an internal passport. The explanation for this fact lies in the contradictions of the documents.

Entry into Russia for citizens of Ukraine

Since the beginning of 2015, the period of temporary stay in Russia of foreign citizens who arrived in the Russian Federation in a manner that does not require a visa (including citizens of Ukraine) cannot exceed 90 days in total during each period of 180 days, except in cases provided for federal law, as well as if such a period is extended in accordance with the law.

If a Ukrainian, during his previous stay in Russia, exceeded the period of stay of 90 days in total during each period of 180 days, he is prohibited from entering the Russian Federation for a period of 3 years from the date of departure from Russia.

It is worth noting that representatives of many other countries need a visa to Russia, but this restriction does not apply to Ukrainians, at least not yet. The situation may change in the next few years.

Entry rules may become stricter. This is not about introducing a visa regime, but about the fact that a foreign passport will be required to cross the border. However, such prospects are still at the stage of general threats and speculation.

For citizens of the European Union, the United States and many other countries, a visa is required to cross the territory of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in the Republic of Crimea; in case of flight/travel, a transit visa is required.

Entry of Ukrainians into Russia

  1. If you have a residence permit.
  2. According to the program of resettlement of compatriots.
  3. Based on forced migrant status.
  4. Under the asylum program.

The current rules for the entry of Ukrainians into Russia provide for a ban on visiting the country for citizens liable for military service. But considering that many do not want to take part in this war and are forced to flee from it, including to the territory of the Russian Federation, in most cases this point is violated.

Visa to Russia for Ukrainians

Referring to information received from the director of the consular service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andrey Sigiba, in early April the Ukrainian news agency UNN disseminated information that for now citizens crossing the border between Russia and Ukraine will not need a foreign passport. Andrey Sigiba says that bilateral agreements were signed between the countries, according to which at the moment all Ukrainians and Russians can cross the common border using internal passports.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the question of introducing a visa regime for travel by Russian citizens to Ukraine and, accordingly, Ukrainian citizens to Russia, has never arisen. But in connection with recent political events, reports are increasingly appearing in the Ukrainian media about the possible application of a visa regime between “brotherly” countries.
